Montessori Day !!! At MMI,TIRUR..The day Montessorians the world over ,renew their pledge to carry-on the legacy of the Montessori philosophy to the future.
January 6th...It was on this day 116 years ago Dr.Maria Montessori took charge of the first ev"Casa De Bambini "- House of Children in Italy. Little knowing that it would go down int the annals of history, as a revolution in the preprimary education of the children, in their formative periods..

MMI,TIRUR celebrated the Montessori Day on 6th January. With the least expectations or determined aspirations of producing an explosion of SUCCESS, our trainees, all of them,from the 3 batches currently functioning. So humble and unassuming, not knowing they're imparting colour and flavour, volunteered and contributed to the MOMENTOUS EVENT, giving new momentum to their plans with fluid movements..Enthralling our chief guests absolutely with their enthusiasm
,involvement, commitment, participatory gestures..

On this day we pay homage to the GREAT LADY who illuminated the issues at stake..all prepared to go to the stake for her views..To save and serve thousands of lives of children that was being at stake. .battling the antagonism between children and adults..Wiping out the deep rooted animosity towards the children in many regions of the world..

"Perhaps a great future leader or a great genius is with us and his power will come from the child he is today.This is the vision we must have".

Help your students remember vocabulary with this quick filler or cooler activity that requires little to no planning!

Here’s how to play:

1) Show your students a list of four words. Three of the words must have similar meanings or be part of the same category (e.g. furniture, food, emotions), and one of the words must have the opposite or a different meaning to the others.

2) Ask your students to discuss which word does not fit the group.

3) You can show more word lists to the students or ask them to create their own lists and share them with the class.

💡 You can also adapt this activity to any level and use it to help students learn useful synonyms and antonyms.
