Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Tangmarg successfully conducted the Inter-School zonal level Kho Kho competitions for Girls in the age group of Under-14 and Under-17 categories at Sports Ground Treran today.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from different educational institutions of the zone Tangmarg. The event provided a vibrant platform for young athletes to showcase their sporting talent, teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit.

All matches were played with great enthusiasm in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere, reflecting true sportsmanship. The Department of Youth Services & Sports, , successfully conducted the Inter-School Zonal Level volleyball competitions for boys & girls in zone Tangmarg. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various educational institutions of the zone.
The programme was organized with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, discipline, physical fitness, and teamwork among the students. The participants displayed remarkable talent, dedication, and competitive spirit throughout the event.

Today on 24th of April 2026 the Department of * successfully conducted sports activities including Kabaddi and Cricket matches under the Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan. The events witnessed active participation from local youth and students, reflecting strong enthusiasm towards sports and a drug free lifestyle.
The Kabaddi matches were played with high energy and discipline. Teams displayed skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. The Cricket matches also drew significant attention, with players showcasing their talent and competitive spirit.

The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Tangmarg, today organized the Interschool Zonal Level Chess Competition for *U-17 Boys and Girls* today at Government High School (GHS) Chandilora.
A large number of students from various zonal schools participated enthusiastically in separate boys' and girls' categories. The competition promoted chess excellence.
Additionally, all the participants took a pledge under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.The participants pledged to stay away from drugs, discourage peers from substance use, and promote a healthy, drug‑free. The pledge reaffirms their commitment to support the mission of making Jammu and Kashmir a Nasha‑Mukt (drug‑free) region.

Before the commencement of the event, all participants and officials, took a pledge against drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, reaffirming their commitment to a healthy and drug-free future.
Held at the Government Girls High School Tangmarg, the event brought together multiple young chess enthusiasts from various schools across the zone, showcasing their strategic prowess and competitive spirit.

All aspiring cricketers are informed that the Selection Trials for Cricket U-17 and U-19 (Boys) will be held on 18th of February 2026 at Sports Ground Treran.
Reporting time is 10:30 am sharp.
All eligible and interested participants must report at the venue on time with proper sports kit and required documents.
