SICA ‘D’ DIVISION: GANGTOK

Sledgers Blue sealed a comfortable 10-wicket victory over Sporting Club of Changrang in a ‘D’ Division match at the Sikkim Cricket Ground, at Mining.

Fast bowler Rex Rai took four wickets and their openers comfortably chased a modest target of 74.

Batting first, Sporting Club of Changrang were bundled out for 73 runs in 17.2 overs as Rex Rai grabbed four wickets, while Yadu Neopaney took two wickets in an over.

Openers Chandra Man S***a (26 not out) and Netra Singh Rawat (20) then struck an unbeaten opening partnership as Sledgers Blue wrapped up the match with 69 balls to spare.

Rex Rai, who finished with 4-11, is the player of the match.

The Sledzers Cricket club had an annual meeting and interaction programme of new executive members and new players with team was held, various ideas to intensify the team in the future were discussed, past contributions and performance were acknowledged. Disscus coming B division matches.
