Field Archery Association of J&K Conducts Selection Trials for 16th FAAI National Championship
Pampore: The Field Archery Association of J&K conducted selection trials for the upcoming 16th FAAI National Championship 2025–26, scheduled to be held at Alibaug, Mumbai.
The trials were held at Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore and witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 50 athlete archers representing various institutions. After keen competition, 25 archers were shortlisted and selected to represent the Union Territory at the national championship.
Among the standout performers were Mohammad Eisa of Biscoe School and Abid Hussain from IPS Mir Behri, who displayed exceptional skill and consistency during the trials.
The selection process was conducted under the observation of the General Secretary, Mohammad Sufiyan Bhat, along with association member Mohammad Bakir, ensuring transparency and fair evaluation.
The President and Secretary of FAAJK appreciated the significant contribution of Waseem Ahmad Beigh, Head of the Physical Education Department at Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore, for his dedicated efforts in identifying and nurturing archery talent at the grassroots level.
