A Special Day at Pragati College of Education Cricket Academy , Siliguri .

Today on dt. 18/08/2025 , our academy had the honour of welcoming one of Siliguri’s most renowned cricket player - Ram Thakur , a name that stands tall in North Bengal cricket and needs no introduction.

He interacted with our young cricketers, shared his valuable experiences, and spoke about the importance of discipline, dedication, and continuous learning in the game. His inspiring journey made a lasting impact on every student present.

We are truly grateful for his presence and guidance, which will continue to motivate our players to dream big and work harder.

🇮🇳 Independence Day Celebrations 🇮🇳

On the occasion of 15th August Independence Day, Pragati College of Education proudly hosted a Flag Hoisting Ceremony.

Students from both the college and the Pragati College of Education Cricket Academy came together to celebrate the spirit of freedom with great enthusiasm.

Pragati College of Education, Siliguri, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on 15th August 2025. In accordance with the letter D.O.No.- 2-102/2022(CPP-II) (C.1188155) dated 07.08.2025 issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the college organised various activities to mark the occasion.

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, students and staff members actively participated by taking selfies with the National Flag, showcasing their pride and respect for the Tiranga.

The formal Independence Day programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony in the college premises. The National Flag was hoisted by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Biswajit Biswas, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic spirit as everyone remembered the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reaffirmed their commitment to the progress of the nation.

The day’s events successfully instilled a deep sense of national pride, unity, and responsibility among the students and faculty of the college.
