Varanashi Organic Farms is conducting 3 day regenerative paddy cultivation course at Varanashi Organic Farms from 18th Aug to 20th Aug 2023.
This unique program focuses on the various aspects of paddy cultivation along with hands on training.
Our major objective is to create awareness in youths and farmers about the rice
cultivation and management.

# Basale soppu or Basella alba /Basella rubra is a popular leafy vegetable in Tulunadu ( coastal part of Karnataka).
# Basale chappara ( trellises or pandal ) is commonly found in the backyard / kitchen garden of most of the houses in our area .
# Two varieties of the Malabar spinach are cultivated- one with red stalk and the other with green stalk.
# It’s a natural coolant and often cooked in combination with various grams and veggies.
# The mucilaginous leaves are consumed along with the tender fibrous leaves.
# Malabar spinach is known for relieving constipation , mouth ulcer and anemia.
# The berries of the plant can be used as natural stain.
# Propagating of the Indian spinach is quiet easy. One can use the stem cuttings or the seeds . So this is your first choice to begin vegetable garden .

Have you ever wondered how would be the life at farms at the foothills of Western Ghats ? Farm life is a synonym to Co existence with nature . Insects , birds , animals , reptiles, herbs , tree’s & us humans everything in a single space .
This July you have an opportunity to experience the farm life at Varanashi Organic Farms . Cherry on the cake is - you might get a chance to get yours hands dirty and contribute in paddy transplantation.
