• All 7 players must be from the same place

Request for Assistance in Renovating the Basketball Court

For over ten years, the Pudukkottai Basketball Academy (PBA), under the leadership of Mr. Innasi Arockiaraj, our President, along with former basketball players and friends, has been providing regular basketball training to school children in Pudukkottai by hiring experienced coaches.

At present, the PBA training sessions are conducted on the grounds of H.H. Rajah's College. Most of the children who train here are from government schools, and many have showcased exceptional talent, representing our district and state in basketball competitions.

Some of these students have earned opportunities to study at Tamil Nadu Government Sports Hostels (SDAT) and colleges through the Sports Quota.

Additionally, following the guidance of the President & Senior players, many coaches from Pudukkottai have received professional training at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI). These coaches now train players both in Pudukkottai and across Tamilnadu.

Similarly, several of our students have excelled in basketball and netball, representing both the Tamil Nadu and Pudukkottai teams.

However, the basketball court where all these achievements began is currently in a state of severe disrepair. The poor condition of the court often results in injuries to players, hindering their ability to train and perform to their full potential. Despite multiple renovation attempts in the past, the court remains unsafe and inadequate for effective training.

To address this pressing issue, we have decided to renovate the court completely. A detailed cost estimate for the renovation has been attached for your reference.

We humbly request your support and assistance in helping us restore this vital resource for the budding sports talents of Pudukkottai.
