Subject: Spreading mass awareness for our anti-smoking PR campaign

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards our on going PR Campaign for anti-smoking by the name of, ‘Ciga’wrath’-Anti-Puffers. We are a group of college students aiming to bring a change in the society and need a little awareness for our campaign through a space in your newspaper.

We are an independent student body named ‘Ciga’wrath-Anti Puffers’ and have been running our PR Campaign for the cause of Anti-Smoking in and around our college since the last month. Our mission is that there should be no cigarette smoke puffed out. Our aim is to help smokers become quitters. Our dream is one day, we won't have to. We have solemnly taken this initiative to bring amends to our society by our little and consolidated efforts. For the indispensable cause of anti-smoking, we want to create maximum awareness against its ill-effects on one’s health as well as to the environment. We believe in providing direct aid and assistance create awareness so to help the regular and feeble-willed members. Our hearts sink when we see so many young, vibrant and talented individuals having the potential to shape a new world, getting encompassed around a puff of smoke and being incapacitated by it.

The laid down objectives are simple and concise. We want to create awareness about the ill effects of smoking. We also want to help and aid regular smokers to encourage them to quit their habit and increase the conscience of individuals towards a better health and safer environment. We are targeting our PR campaign towards the youth of today’s society and will continue to work hard till the day we as team members and all of us, are able to perceive and realize the change in the society.

We want to make an appeal and voice our opinions on a mass platform so that our campaign achieves its objectives and we succeed in this noble venture. We welcome other concerned, enthusiastic and intellectual members from all sections of society to join us in our attempts at making some lives better. We would be grateful if we receive your support in this endeavour towards having an efficient, effective and appropriate society with superior and confident individuals so as to foster humanity and develop brighter individuals. We would appreciate suggestions, improvements and feedback from our readers and general public. Thereby, we are providing our contact details for the same ;

Smoking not just degrades your health, but also pollutes and harms the environment in such a heinous manner, which we as human being, seldom notice.
So if not for the sake of your health, atleast for the betterment of the environment, reduce and quit your number of puffs.

KEY MESSAGES:

● Individuals who are regular chain smokers are to be helped and encouraged towards quitting.
● Individuals who puff a smoke just for fun, entertainment, under peer pressure or any due to any other reason to be inspired to decrease their smoking habits.
● Smoke pollutes and harms the environment. Saving the environment is also a key concern for our campaign.
