🇮🇳 KIO Team Ready for the 10th South Asian Karate Championship 2026 & 2nd U-14 South Asia Cup 2026 🇮🇳

The Karate India Organisation (KIO) National Team is all set to represent India at the 10th South Asian Karate Championship 2026 and the 2nd U-14 South Asia Cup 2026, to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 17th to 19th July 2026.

The Indian contingent is participating under the esteemed leadership of Hanshi Bharat Sharma, President, Karate India Organisation (KIO), with a strong team of athletes, coaches, referees, and officials determined to bring glory to the nation.

We extend our best wishes to all members of Team India for an outstanding performance and hope they return home with numerous medals and unforgettable achievements.

Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Jadhav delivered an impressive performance at the Karate One Premier League held in Leshan, China (From 10th to 12th April 2026). She secured victories against competitors from Indonesia and Hong Kong, showcasing remarkable skill and determination. She fought hard in the third round against Russia, demonstrating true fighting spirit on the global stage.

This achievement comes under the strong leadership and guidance of the Karate India Organisation (KIO) Hanshi Bharat Sharma (President, KIO), Kyoshi Sanjeev Kumar Jangra (General Secretary, KIO) & Kyoshi Mutum Singh Bankim (Treasurer, KIO) and Head Coach Sensei Keerthan Kondru.

Team KIO India is all set to participate in the prestigious USA Open 2026 and Junior International Karate Championship 2026, scheduled to take place in Fort Worth, Texas, USA from 1st to 5th April 2026.

The team is proudly representing India under the leadership of President Mr. Bharat Sharma and General Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jangra under the banner of the Karate India Organisation (KIO). KIO is officially affiliated with international governing bodies, including the World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate Federation (AKF), Commonwealth Karate Federation (CKF), and South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF) as national federation for sports karate in India.

With a strong and determined lineup, Team India is fully prepared to showcase its talent, discipline, and spirit on the international stage.

Alisha Choudhary continues her remarkable run on the international stage 👊🔥

After creating history with a Bronze at the Asian Senior Championships last year, Alisha has once again stepped onto the podium — this time winning Bronze in the WKF Karate 1 Series A, Tbilisi in Women’s Kumite -55 kg.

A brilliant achievement at a highly competitive global event.

Heartiest Congratulations to KIO India Player Naveen for winning Bronze Medal 🥉in the WKF Series A Karate 1 Championship held at Malaysia. Also big congratulations to Chief Coach of Indian Karate team Keerthan Konduru for this achievement.

Keeping in view of the continued commitment of Karate and Karate Players’s development in India, Karate India Organisation- KIO have sponsored an amount of 15.40 Lakhs for the Flight tickets of 44 members Indian Karate team including 29 players, 6 coaches, 3 officials and 6 Referees flight tickets for this official Asian Championship.
