Watching school football lately, one thing really stands out when every pass and movement is dictated from the sideline, where does the child’s decision-making and creativity go?

Our Warriors aren’t perfect. Some are still developing, some make plenty of mistakes, and some are simply not as talented as others.

But they try.

They take on 1v1s, find space, combine, take risks and express themselves.

And that isn’t inherited. It’s built through every practice, every repetition, and every session where our coaches put their heart and soul into the players.

We don’t want to control every decision. We want to develop players who can make their own. 💙💛

It all started with our U10s… 😂

After every session, we huddle up and shout…3… 2… 1…LFA! ⚽💙

But this time, one of our little 5-year-old stars confidently yelled…“ELEPHANT!” 🐘🤣

For a second, everyone looked at each othe…and then the whole team shouted it together. The loudest laughter echoed across the field.

Sometimes the best traditions aren’t created by coaches, they’re created by children. ❤️

The more we thought about it, the more we loved it. Because elephants remind us of the kind of team we want to be:
🐘 Strong, but gentle.
🐘 They look after one another.
🐘 They stay close to their herd.
🐘 They don’t leave anyone behind.
🐘 And they never forget the ones they love.

So today, this celebration is dedicated to all my friends, players, and everyone who has ever been part of the LFA family.

Let’s all be a little more like an elephant…Strong in character…Gentle at heart…Loyal to your team…

More than just a tournament, it was a celebration of football, friendship, and sportsmanship.

Every match showcased determination, teamwork, respect, and the joy of the game. From thrilling goals to unforgettable moments of encouragement, every team played their part in making this tournament truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to Karma Group India and Umer Mutawalli all the players, coaches, parents, referees, volunteers, and organizers for creating an atmosphere where young footballers could learn, compete, and grow together.

Congratulations to every team that participated—you all made the Columbus Cup 2026 a memorable experience.

Because in the end, football is not only about winning trophies; it’s about building character, creating memories, and inspiring the next generation.
