A delayed train is annoying.

A delayed answer is exhausting.

Because when we don’t know, the mind fills in the blanks.

It imagines.
It worries.
It creates stories.

And before we know it, we’re no longer dealing with the situation itself.

We’re dealing with all the possibilities around it.

What is one answer you’ve been waiting for?

If you’re seeking clarity around relationships, career, family, business or life direction, bring your questions to Personal Energy Coach R. Sridhar.

In early 2024, I got a call from my former boss and mentor, Dr Bhaskar Das - media veteran, academic, and one of India’s most sought-after mentors.
He wanted to write a book. And he wanted me to write it with him.
He was battling cancer and knew he didn’t have much time.
We began work on You Inc. But frequent hospitalisations kept interrupting the process. And in January 2025, before we had barely begun, he was gone.
Only five per cent of the manuscript existed on paper.
The rest lived in fragments…voice notes, lectures, WhatsApp chats, and his unforgettable “Bhaskarisms.”

A year later, his family asked me to finish the book.
And honestly, there came a point where I was completely lost. I had very little material to work with and no idea how to truly enter his mind and write in his voice.

So I did what I usually do at crossroads.
I .
And then came an epiphany.
Two very clear messages emerged:
“Crowdsource my thoughts.”
“Check our WhatsApp messages.”
The phrase itself felt so distinctly like Bhaskar that it almost felt like he was speaking directly.
I reached out to his peers and mentees. Then I opened our old chats.
And there they were.
His Bhaskarisms – that I had forgotten I had asked him to send me.
That became my fuel.
A few days ago, at the book launch at his home, people insisted that I sign the book.
I resisted. It didn’t feel like mine to sign.
So I placed my palm on his photograph on the cover and silently asked, “What should I do?”
Almost instantly, the answer came:
“Sign with my name.”
And so I did.
“Dear XYZ, hope you experience my presence while reading this book.
Love, Bhaskar.”
The room fell silent.
This book was not just about writing it.
There was a whole lot of management weaved into it. 😊

Clean energy. A clear heart. A simple story.

A hero whose personal energy mirrors the character he portrays. A heroine celebrated for her choice to remain refreshingly real — without makeup. A film set against the breathtaking landscapes of Hokkaido, Japan.

At the premiere of Din starring and .senthamarai Pallavi, and releasing on May 1. What struck me most was not just the film, but the quiet authenticity of the people behind it.

Junaid, his father , and the entire family carried an unassuming grace that felt rare.

A simple family, telling a simple story, in a simple, honest way.

And perhaps that’s what makes it special a well-made film that you can truly watch, and enjoy, with the entire family.

Some stories don’t begin on paper.
They begin over coffee… in pauses, in passing thoughts, in conversations that linger a little longer.
This one found its way into a book…Coffee, Cafés & Conversations by Purvi Gandhi.
I just had the privilege of listening closely enough to give it words.

In July last year, I joined Connect & Grow (C&G) , a vibrant business referral networking platform, to address a specific energy gap within me. Having pivoted to entrepreneurship a few years earlier, I realised I needed not just direction in the form of a business coach, but also the right community to support and accelerate my growth.

It delivered — and then some. By September, I had stepped into the role of President of my chapter, Bandra Breeze. Alongside and Leena Pinple , our leadership team was honoured with the Best Leadership Team award, and I was deeply grateful to receive the Golden Saarthi Award as well.

Energy lesson — When you have a clear aim, place yourself in an environment whose energy actively nurtures and amplifies it.

We behave so much like plants...next time casually notice how different species of plants grow.

There are the ones that plonk their might and weight when they grow. They need enormous space. They network underground and overground through their roots and branches. They are what we in human lingo, can call, 'well-connected, influential, patriarchal, imposing, I-me-mine.' We see many humans around like them, don't we....

Then there is the parasite that derives its importance, identity and sustenance from its host plant. Take away the latter and the parasite dies, not knowing what to do, how to survive, desperate for another host - behaving like sycophants among us humans.

Look up buildings and apartments and you'll find this particular species growing near the pipes. It's amazing that only that species grows there and none other. This is like those cases where you provide a situation and the appropriate people come out of the woodwork. Like, for instance, when your car breaks down, have you noticed how suddenly the 'experts' (read quick-buck makers) land up out of nowhere? They possess the uncanny ability to make their presence felt at the most unlikeliest of places. Like this plant.

Check out those plants that don't need your help to grow. You don't need to water them or tend to them. They will grow and grow well without help. And what's more, their stance will be straight, erect with shoulders back and chin up. Like the independent, dignified, assured types among us.

Then there are the climbers - opportunistic, ambitious, always on the lookout, knowing where to pitch and climb.... and the creepers - ears close to the ground, needing to reach out, almost gossipy, interfering....

Finally, there is the basil or tulsi, which refuses to grow randomly. It demands care, devotees, followers, almost snooty but benevolent, brahminical.

Fascinating, isn't it 🙂

Happy Guru Purnima to the guru in you!

Defined as the ‘dispeller of darkness’, a guru helps the student to realise God. That’s the religious explanation. Here’s an energy perspective.

Every activity either raises energy or depletes energy. So, every second of existence generates energy and destroys energy concurrently.

In a tree, when a new leaf is being formed, an old one is dropping off too. When a student learns something new in school (and creating energy by that process), he is also destroying that energy by not applying that knowledge in his life.

When you get your salary and put it in your saving account, the destruction process of that ‘money’ has already begun because the inflation rate is higher than that of your savings account.

When you buy a car (creation of energy), the depreciation (destruction of energy) begins the moment the key is handed to you.

This constant creation, preservation and destruction of energy need to be managed. If you do not manage the energy that you generate, the energy will manage you.

For eg., a car driver drives only at that speed that he can manage; the moment he speeds up too much (which means generates more energy than he can manage), the car veers out of control and he is totally helpless at the hands of the energy he has created.
Now, coming to the concept of guru.

A guru is a person whose ability to generate and manage energy is greater than yours. Therefore, if and when the student is unable to manage the energy that he creates, the guru steps in and helps him. The guru too in turn would have a guru and so on.

The best way to explain this would be by comparing our household electricity connections. How do we get our electricity: firstly, there is nature which is harnessed through the power stations; these in turn, transmit power to the transformers in the sub-stations, that ‘step down’ the high-voltage electricity into lower voltage electricity.

This is further ‘stepped down’ and distributed to individual households and the energy that you consume is much much less than what is generated at the power station. At every stage, the effort is to make the voltage manageable.

A guru is like the transformer and you are like the wire that runs in your house. He is able to regulate the flow of energy or electric charge that his student receives so that the student is not harmed or ‘burnt out’ or ‘short-circuited’ due to excess charge coming his way.

When your ability to manage energy increases, you end up becoming the transformer. You will then find others who are less-energetic than you are – the ‘wires’ as it were – getting drawn to you saying, “Aap hi hamare guru, aap hi hamare Bhagwan ho!”

This is not about religion. This is about electromagnetism.
