A mobile app called “NEPSE AI” was promoted on social media under the name of stock market analysis. After downloading it, several people lost large sums of money from their bank accounts. In one case alone, NPR 2.861 million disappeared from a single person’s account. According to police, the app was advertised with false promises on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to lure people into downloading it. Once installed, victims reported mysterious withdrawals from their bank accounts. Multiple complaints have been filed, and an investigation is underway.
Such scams put financially vulnerable people at even greater risk. Please be careful and protect your digital security.
