Grandmaster Kim Jeong Seong is the Founder, President, and Grandmaster of the United World Haedong K*mdo Federation (UWHKF), headquartered in Busan, South Korea. He holds the distinguished rank of 9th Dan in Haedong K*mdo and is internationally respected for his deep contribution to Korean sword martial arts.
Grandmaster Kim developed the unique system Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu (진영 쌍검 류), a specialized style emphasizing dual-sword (two-sword) techniques. His system integrates traditional Korean swordsmanship with ki (breathing and energy) training, sword dance, structured forms (K*mbup), cutting techniques, and mental as well as spiritual discipline.
Founded in June 2001, UWHKF was established to promote and spread Haedong K*mdo worldwide, particularly the philosophy and technical structure of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu. Today, the federation includes affiliated schools in more than 40 countries, actively preserving and expanding Korean sword traditions.
In addition to being a martial arts leader, Grandmaster Kim is also an accomplished author. His works include Think Out of the Box Through the Training of Haedong K*mdo, Two Swords Training (Vol. 1 & 2), and Searching for the Forgotten Half of Martial Arts. Through global seminars, workshops, and international tours, he continues to teach and inspire practitioners across the world.
While Haedong K*mdo is practiced under various organizations globally, Grandmaster Kim Jeong Seong’s curriculum and teachings are distinct, particularly in their strong emphasis on dual-sword methodology and integrated internal training systems.
