Do you recognize the man in the circle?

Today, we celebrate that legendary figure who merged sports and social change.

Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, was also a passionate football enthusiast.

During his time in South Africa from 1893 to 1915, Gandhi founded the Passive Resisters Football Club to promote non-violent resistance against racial injustice. This pioneering move used sports to unite people and fight discrimination.

⚽️ Founded 3️⃣ football clubs in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Durban to spread his message of peaceful resistance.
⚽️ Used football stadiums as venues for political rallies, inspiring players and spectators alike.
