The 12 States Project

The 12 States Project The 12 States Project is an initiative on my Blog to visit every State & Union Territory of India! Twitter:

I dedicate each month of the year to a different State / UT of India, and visit places in that particular State / UT. The more of India I see, the more I want to see! Since I started travelling for sports back in 2001 - through urban and rural India - from Maharashtra to Manipur, my urge to see more of India has only grown! Today, between Political Research & Salsa Dancing, I take time off to take

forward The 12 States Project - my bid to cover every State & Union Territory of India. I have already visited 21 States and 4 Union Territories, but with this initiative having kicked off this year, I have started by revisiting each & every State / UT, trying to see through a different eye. In spite of the fact that each month is dedicated to a specific State / UT, I intend to keep revisiting cause no Indian State can wholly be covered in a month's time! As I travel more, I chronicle more on my Blog: http://thewindowsilltales.wordpress.com/category/travels-trots/

Here's hoping I make you fall even more in love with India through my travel tales, and through fascinating tales that many others have to tell! I'm an Indian girl, whose first love will always remain everything that travelling in India has to offer, in all its forms!

It's the day of for the month of September, and a big hello from God's Own Country!

2 months back, I was sitting somewhere on a Ladakhi mountain that seemed parched for greenery, and now this! Gotta love India.

Now to get some work done!

Yes, I've been very delinquent with this Page - but I'm going to be correcting all that starting today!

While May was Bihar, June was Orissa, July was Leh (an exception) & August was Tamil Nadu.
September confusions lie between a day trip to Chandigarh & beach side relaxing in Marari (Kerala.)

While I work on sorting that out, here's the story of a lady who biked from Kanyakumari to Leh by herself, crossing 11 states over 14 days! Much respect.

Defying all stereotypes, Roshini Sharma shares the story of her solo cross-country journey with YourStory.

The month of May is upon me! The 12 States Project went to Jammu & Kashmir last May, and is off to Bihar this May.

Fusing politics in this time, the rail tracks are leading to West Champaran near the Indo-Nepal Border!

As April travels are headed to Dadra & Nagar Haveli, a working Monday will be spent in some of corner of its capital - Silvassa!

With this, Andaman & Lakshadweep will be the only two Union Territories left for me to cover in India, and one of them should be done later this year.

New friend, Kanha: He wants to go to Gurganwa to play Holi, and he loves water balloons & colours. And Dairy Milk. And I am to oblige him.

But but, he hates Maths!
