*District-Level Refresher Course for Physical Education Personnel Kicks Off at BHSS Trehgam Hirri*

The District-level Refresher Course for Physical Education personnel commenced today at BHSS Trehgam Hirri, marking an important capacity-building initiative under the Activity Calendar issued by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, J&K. The programme is being organized under the overall supervision of DYSSO Kupwara, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat, and Incharge Activities, Mr. Mohd Amin Lone.

The event was formally inaugurated by the Principal of BHSS Trehgam, Mr. Bilal Qutub Shah, in the presence of officials and field staff of the YSS Department. In his inaugural address, the Principal highlighted the department’s continuous efforts to upgrade professional standards and lauded the initiative for bringing all Physical Education personnel onto a common platform of learning and upskilling.

This refresher course is designed to fine-tune the technical acumen and official skills of Physical Education staff, ensuring they stay aligned with modern methodologies, updated rules, and emerging practices in sports management. Participants will undergo sessions on advanced officiating techniques, event management, fitness assessment, and contemporary training tools aimed at enhancing their on-ground efficiency.

The Department of Youth Services & Sports emphasized that such programmes are crucial for maintaining the quality and integrity of sports activities across the district, ensuring that students and athletes receive guidance from well-trained and professionally updated personnel.

The course will continue over the coming days with a blend of theoretical inputs, demonstrations, and practical engagement.
