Some relationships begin with a designation >>
Trainer. Employee. Boss.
And then, somewhere between training rooms, deadlines, endless conversations, disagreements, laughter and a few legendary parties… the labels quietly disappear.
That’s pretty much my journey with Saroj - from training her during her MBA days, to having her work with me (and occasionally boss the boss around 😄), to becoming a dear friend and eventually family.
And then came Nitin.
I had heard so much about him before we finally met that it almost felt like meeting someone I already knew. Warm, grounded, fun-loving, well read and wonderfully capable of matching Saroj’s level of madness. 😄❤️
Seeing her as a bride, glowing in that gorgeous red saree and genuinely this happy, was one of those heart-full moments.
But somewhere along the celebrations, something unexpected happened to me too.
For two days, I almost forgot that I owned a laptop. I stopped chasing deadlines and temporarily stepped away from the never-ending journey of building Parivartan Corporate Training Academy.
+ I rediscovered photography.
+ Music.
+ Long conversations without an agenda.
Old friends I had drifted away from.
+ New people who somehow stopped feeling new within a few hours.
And, most importantly, the version of Arun that existed before life became one continuous calendar of work commitments. 😄
Those who know me well know what happens when the professional mask comes off and the old party-host Arun is allowed out again. 🥂😂
For public consumption, however, I have carefully selected only the respectable photographs. The remaining evidence of the fun and frolic is safely secured in the vault. 🔐🤣
Sometimes while chasing a dream, you suddenly realise just how many little pieces of life you have unknowingly been postponing.
Last weekend was that reminder.
Thank you, Saroj & Nithin, for the celebration, the people, the madness and the memories.
May your life together always have this much laughter, music, friendship and beautiful chaos. ❤️
Here’s to SaTin! 🥂
