Yesterday’s rice might actually be better than fresh rice
Sounds weird, I know
I used to tell clients to just control rice quantity
But this is something most people don’t know
When rice is freshly cooked
It digests very fast
→ sugar spike
→ hunger comes back quickly
But when you keep it overnight in the fridge
Something interesting happens
Part of the starch becomes
Resistant starch
Same rice
But your body treats it differently
→ slower digestion
→ better sugar control
→ keeps you full longer
I’ve actually seen this help clients
especially those struggling with cravings at night
Now don’t misunderstand
This doesn’t mean
“eat unlimited rice” 😄
Calories still matter
But it’s a smarter way to include rice
instead of removing it completely
One important thing
Don’t leave it outside
Store it properly
Otherwise bacteria like
Bacillus cereus
can grow
Most people try extreme diets
But honestly
Sometimes small changes like this
make a bigger difference
Maybe this is your sign to start meal prepping 🍚
