The game started as a pastime play within the boundaries of residential complex without any rules or regulations. Later on it emerged into a serious gameplay putting aside cricket and football. The volleyball court build aside the walls of Periyar Vihar quarters, for the first time became a grazing ground. The hanging nets and iron posts started showing the signs of aversion by the players. The Revival, a long term process took time-2012. This time with a new batch of young and enthusiastic players flooded the ground accompanied by sponsors. From there the formation of Periyar Vihar Volleyball Association was near complete. What lacked during those old days where equally compensated during the reconstruction and above all, A team that can win trophies!
