Ven Dr Sumedh Thero with 8 other Buddhist monks Viz Ven Shanti Mitra Thero of Bodhgaya, Ven Prgya Seel Thero & Ven Gyan Seel Thero of Bhante Sheel Bhadra Mahathero Budha Vihar, Bharthana, Etawah UP, Ven Dhamma Pal Thero and Ven Vimal Bodhi Thero of Raibarailly, UP, Ven Deo Anand Vardhan Thero and his associate Ven Vijaya Varadhan, Samrat Harshvardhan Buddha Vihar, Arail, Allahabad, UP, Ven Nagsen Theroa of Alambagh, Lucknow and ven Seel Ratan Thero of Budha Vihar Muvai Padiyana, near Piparsand Railway station, Lucknow participated in the 5th International Interfaith Conference Aug 10-12, 2014. Ven Dr Sumedh Thero join the press conference in briefing team on Aug 10, 2014 and put the views of Buddhism in World Unity! After reciting Namo Tasya Bhagvato Arhato Samma Sam Buddhasa express his own and views on behalf of Buddhism as well as needs of the present day time. All monks together chant the Buddha vandana and Karneya Metta Sutta. Thereafter all other monks join the environment protection compaign.

The other prominent speakers in the conference were Dr Adel Omar Sherif, Dputy Chief Justice, Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt. Mr Ashok Sajjanhar, NFCH, Nerw Delhi. In Plenary Session I- Interreligion Marriage change face, disturbing fact by Ish*ta Singh, Intercultural relation by appointment of teachers by Dr Tapas Kumar Sarkar, Survey result on the mind set of CMS Lucknow (about 50,000 students) presented by Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Dr David Risley, United States Department of Justice, Attach based in Cairo, Egypt presented the Freedom of Religion, Ms Priyanka Sen presented her research study details, Ms B. K. Savitha presented her views on the Spirituality binds, religion divides, Mr Budh Singh presented the paper on Teaching, Dr Ram Kalap Tiwari presented the paper on Role of Religion for strengthening peace.
