“Coach, I’m too shy. How can I become more confident?”
First of all, let me tell you this:
You are not “a shy person.”
You have simply practiced shyness for a long time.
And slowly, it has become part of your identity.
The problem is not just the behavior.
The problem is the story you keep telling yourself:
👉 “I’m too shy.”
👉 “I can’t talk to people.”
👉 “I’m not confident enough.”
And the more you repeat that story, the stronger it becomes.
So how do you break it?
👉 Through small, consistent actions.
Not giant leaps.
Micro steps.
For example:
✔ talk to one new person every day
✔ ask one question in a meeting
✔ record one small video
✔ speak in front of a small group once a week
Each small action sends a new message to your brain:
💡 “Maybe I’m more confident than I thought.”
And over time, your identity starts changing.
Confidence is not something people are born with.
It is something they build through repeated action.
So stop labeling yourself as “shy.”
Start giving yourself evidence that you are capable.
Because the story you tell yourself internally…
eventually becomes your reality externally.
