Hony. Secretary of the Punjab Badminton Association & District Badminton Association,Jalandhar Sh.Ritin Khanna had the privilege of meeting Ms. Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, President of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in New Delhi during the BWF World Championships 2026.

Mr. Khanna apprised her of the initiatives and grassroots development work being undertaken by the Punjab Badminton Association to promote and nurture badminton talent across the state.

Ms. Khunying Patama conveyed her best wishes to Mr. Khanna for his continued endeavours and contribution towards the growth of badminton.

जालंधर की होनहार शटलर इनायत गुलाटी का चयन सब-जूनियर भारतीय बैडमिंटन टीम में हुआ है।इनायत चीन में आयोजित सब-जूनियर बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगी।इनायत राष्ट्रीय टीम में जगह बनाने वाली पंजाब की सबसे कम उम्र की खिलाड़ी बन गई हैं।इस गौरवपूर्ण उपलब्धि पर रत्ती बैडमिंटन अकादमी ने इनायत गुलाटी को सम्मानित कर शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई दी।

The Innocent Hearts Punjab State Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament concluded successfully at the Raizada Hansraj Badminton Stadium, Jalandhar.

Jagsher Singh Khangura of Patiala and Inayat Gulati of Jalandhar emerged champions in the Men’s and Women’s Singles, respectively, delivering outstanding performances. The winners will now represent Punjab at the North Zone Championship. 🏸

The Chief Guest, Sh. Ramvir Singh, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jalandhar, felicitated the winners and said, “A true champion is defined by how he treats others after both victory and defeat.”

The tournament concluded with a strong message of sportsmanship, discipline and respect for opponents. 👏🏸

The prestigious Innocent Hearts Punjab State Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament got underway at the Raizada Hansraj Badminton Stadium, Jalandhar, with around 300 players from across Punjab participating.

🏆 The tournament features 10 events, with the finals scheduled for August 16.

✨ “Sports play a vital role in the overall development of youth,” said Divya, IAS.

🏅 International badminton player Jagsher Singh Khangura was honoured with a cash award of ₹31,000 in recognition of his achievements.

🇮🇳 Ritin Khanna, Secretary, Punjab Badminton Association, said the winners of the tournament will represent Punjab at the North Zone Championship to be held in Rajasthan.
