Andrew Gurung from Israil Gurung Football Academy in Jaigaon, Alipurduar district is playing for Ladakh FC in the ongoing Durand Cup. Stopper Andrew, who got a chance in the Karnataka state team in the last Santosh Trophy, has been playing for HAL SC in Bengaluru for the last three years. Now Andrew is ready to prove himself in the national level football tournament.

Full-Time Report: IG Football Academy 2-2 RBP

A heartbreaking finish saw IG Football Academy settle for a 2-2 draw against RBP after leading for most of the match.

Amit Barman found the net to give IG Football Academy the advantage, and the team doubled their lead, controlling the game until the 80th minute. However, RBP mounted a late comeback, scoring in the 85th minute before equalizing in stoppage time.

Despite creating several goal-scoring opportunities, IG Football Academy missed too many chances, allowing RBP to sn**ch a point at the death. A tough result, but lessons to take forward!

𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 – 𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬!

Yesterday, in the Coca-Cola Open Football 2025, we couldn’t secure the result we were aiming for against Rai FC, falling short by a lone goal. But our U16 boys put on a stellar performance, proving they are a force to be reckoned with!

Right from the start, we came in strong—at the 17th minute, Amit Bharma rattled the crossbar with a powerful strike, and soon after, Adeep Aley got past the keeper but narrowly missed the target. The pressure was on, but at 25 minutes, we conceded a goal, which ultimately decided the match. Despite the setback, the boys fought relentlessly until the final whistle.

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠 acknowledged the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for, but he praised the U16 squad for their fearless play and ability to win over the crowd.

“We created several chances but couldn’t capitalize as planned. However, this is just the beginning—we are coming back stronger and sharper in the upcoming matches.” He also hinted at fresh reinforcements in the next game, with key players set to join the squad and strengthen the team.

SAY NO TO DRUGS.
Thank you to youth sporting club(YSC) Jaigaon, who organized this 9KM marathon run to encourage youth towards sports and to avoid having in wrong path.
They organized inter school 9km run for students and for age 40+ for both men and women.
A very big congratulations for those who participated in this 9km marathon run from our academy. Special hats off to our head coach Dipen Gurung.
