I would especially like to appreciate Chairman JK Football Academy Eidgah, Mr. Wasim Aslam, and his entire team for the tremendous work they are doing for the development of football at the grassroots level in Jammu & Kashmir. It is truly admirable to witness the academy working with dedication and professionalism from the U-4 level up to the senior team structure, creating opportunities and proper football exposure for young boys and girls alike. Such continuous efforts, commitment and vision are highly important for the future growth of football in the Union Territory. It was also a surprise and great pleasure to meet Mr. Naushad Moosa, Head Coach of the India U-23 National Team, Technical Director & Reserve Team Head Coach of NorthEast United FC and AFC Pro License Coach.
The discipline, passion and football environment created at JK Football Academy Eidgah clearly reflect the hard work and sincerity of the management, coaches and supporting staff members. Initiatives like these play a vital role in identifying and nurturing young talent and giving them the confidence and platform to pursue football professionally. I highly appreciate their contribution towards building a strong football culture and encouraging youth participation in sports across the region.
During my interaction with Mr. Naushad Moosa, we had a brief discussion regarding football development and the ongoing U-18 trials. I informed him that Lone Star Kashmir Football Club and Academy was not officially aware of these trials. During the discussion, Mr. Naushad Moosa also shared that he had earlier received information from certain individuals that Lone Star Kashmir Football Club is no longer functioning as a football club, due to which he could not visit our academy and club earlier despite being informed about our activities.
I also informed him in detail regarding the present activities of Lone Star Kashmir Football Club and Academy, which is actively involved in grassroots football development along with U-18 football structures and programs. I further explained our professional coaching setup and the continued functioning of the club. I shared that we have experienced and qualified coaches, both local as well as from outside the state, who are working dedicatedly towards the development, training and exposure of our players at different levels. I clarified before everyone that Lone Star Kashmir Football Club is fully active and operational, continuing its football activities through grassroots development, academy structure and U-18 football programs under football federation initiatives.
I want to convey a clear and respectful message to all those individuals who have spread misleading information regarding Lone Star Kashmir Football Club. If someone cannot contribute positively towards football or support the work being done by LSKFC, they should at least refrain from harming the image and reputation of an institution that has continuously worked for the promotion and development of football in Jammu & Kashmir. Our club remains fully committed towards grassroots football, academy development and competitive football structures with renewed vision, dedication and professionalism.
It is important to mention that Lone Star Kashmir Football Club has been one of the pioneering football clubs of Jammu & Kashmir, contributing remarkably towards football development and federation activities since 2013. The club has consistently played a major role in promoting football talent from the Union Territory and has provided opportunities, exposure and professional guidance to numerous footballers over the years. We remain fully committed towards strengthening football at every level and contributing positively towards the football ecosystem of Jammu & Kashmir.
Lastly, I would like to appeal to everyone associated with football to develop a positive mindset towards the growth and development of the game. Our collective responsibility should be to work for the younger generation, help them become more competitive, disciplined and talented, and provide them opportunities and exposure at higher levels of football, whether within the valley, outside the valley or even internationally. This remains one of the primary missions and visions of the Chairman of Lone Star Kashmir Football Club and Academy.
I also request the entire football fraternity to stand together, support one another and work collectively for the betterment of football in Jammu & Kashmir. It is also appropriate to mention that we all must prepare ourselves responsibly for the upcoming football elections as categorized and guided under the framework of AIFF and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Let us work towards fair, genuine and transparent elections while remaining united for the welfare of football in both Kashmir and Jammu.
I once again thank Chairman Mr. Wasim Aslam, Pioneer Head Coach Mr. Showkat Masoodi, Mr. Naushad Moosa, the respected staff members, parents and young footballers of JK Football Academy Eidgah for their love, support and cooperation. Together, we must continue working unitedly for the better future, growth and success of football in Jammu & Kashmir. My special love and blessings to all the children taking training under the banner of JK Sports Association and JK Football Academy Eidgah under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Wasim Aslam.
Regards,
Chairman
