Arunachal Olympic Association Flags Off State Athletics Team for Eastern Zonal and National Championships

ITANAGAR: Sept, 17: The Arunachal Olympic Association today flagged off its state athletics team for the upcoming 36th Eastern Zonal Junior Athletics Championships and the 40th National Junior Athletics Championships. Secretary General and Senior Vice President of the Arunachal Olympic Association, Shri Bamang Tago, and Shri Techi Abraham Kaya flagged off the team at the SLSA ground.

A total of 26 promising athletes across various age categories (U-14, U-16, U-18, and U-20) have been selected to represent Arunachal Pradesh in these prestigious events. The team is led by Coach Tali Yabang.

Championship Details
- 36th Eastern Zonal Junior Athletics Championships: Ranchi, Jharkhand (September 22-24, 2025)
- 40th National Junior Athletics Championships: Bhubaneswar, Odisha (October 10-14, 2025)

The athletes were selected based on their performance in the trial selection conducted at the Golden Jubilee Yupia Outdoor Stadium on August 17, 2025. They have since undergone intensive coaching and training to prepare for the championships.
