"You Won’t Always Get the Support You Want—But That Doesn’t Mean You Should Stop"
In 2016, I stood at a crossroads. After years in banking, I chose my passion for coaching as a career.
But there was a problem — I didn’t have the current cash flow.
So, I made a choice.
I sold the gold coins I had saved over the years to pay for my first coaching program—$3,000 felt like everything I had then.
That’s when I learned a hard truth: Your business is your baby.
It needs your heart, soul, and every ounce of your resources.
Like a child, your business requires devotion, time, and sacrifices.
I had to stop thinking about fancy clothes or splurging on things that didn’t matter.
These things give a different return on investment than your business will.
Here’s the reality: When you have a real baby, everyone around you pitches in—support, advice, even unsolicited opinions.
But when it’s your business, baby, not everyone gets it.
You won’t always have that support.
You’ll have to nurture it, even when others don’t understand or offer a helping hand.
But here’s the secret: It's worth it.
Forget the noise, the doubts, and the distractions. It will grow if you believe in your vision and treat your business like the baby you know it is.
And one day, you'll look back and know the sacrifices were worth every bit.
