As a Career Strategist & Leadership Coach, I couldn’t help but draw parallels between this operation and what mid-to-senior professionals face in their corporate wars every day.
Here are the Top 10 Corporate Lessons professionals can learn from Operation Sindoor :

𝟏. 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲
Just like India maintained strategic silence before the strike, leaders should hold back from revealing every move. Strategic ambiguity is power.

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 #𝟏: 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 “𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫”

A powerful person/ country respects another powerful person/ country. Things would have been different if Ukraine had possessed nuclear weapons. Russia is a powerful country in terms of weapons and resources, as a result, even NATO was not able to conduct any direct intervention in the war against Russia.

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 #𝟐: 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞

Whoever supports you, remember that you have to fight your battle on your own. Don’t expect that other people will come to your rescue. People can help you with resources, money & motivation, but in reality, you have to go alone in the ring and face the punches. So do assess your limits, capabilities and the wrath you can face.

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 #𝟑: 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲

The Ukrainian President has made the judgmental blunder of trusting the US & NATO for the support they are going to offer him. He didn’t learn from history. He has taken the word of NATO countries that "they are with him" too far and concluded that the US and NATO will help him with their armies in fighting against Russia.

What individuals say to you does not necessarily imply that they will follow through. Determine to what extent they can assist you and how they will assist you. Don’t take people at their face value. They may have other self-motivated agendas too.

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 #𝟒: 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲

The Ukrainian President has not done the proper SWOT analysis of the entire scenario. When you know that you are less powerful, then it is better to be wise and resolve the issue with diplomacy rather than war. This war could have been avoided if they had engaged in dialogue with Russia & tried to figure out a win-win situation for themselves.

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 #𝟓: 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐫-𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞

The lack of farsightedness is a sign of political immaturity. The Ukrainians were getting the clear-cut signals that Russia was preparing for war and exercising around their borders, but they still did not comprehend what was coming their way. They completely misjudged their opponent, Russia, as well as their allies (US & NATO) too.

In this series, today’s new animal is "𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇"

𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐎𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡" 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are defensive, non-hostile people. They are naïve and tend to behave foolishly. If you tell them not to pass on this information to Mr. X, they will pass it on to Mr. X and will also reveal that you have told them not to disclose this to Mr. X.

Their inner desire is to be in the good books of everyone. They are unable to read the situation and can’t see the danger, as a result, they are being misused and get into the trap. They are so naïve that they can’t see they are being manipulated by others. They are verbally active but passive in action. They are a good worker but risk avoider.

They think other people will help them when they are in need, but in reality, people see them just as a “resource.” When downsizing or cost-cutting activity happens in the organization, such people are the first ones to be thrown out & they get surprized as why this has happened to them.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐲” 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are aggressive, hostile, and clever people. They are quite active and open about what they say and do just because they are in relation or knew some top-shot person, who is their “Godfather” in the organization. They take undue advantage of this relationship. Openly tell others in the organization how close they are to the top boss. They bully other colleagues, apply pressure tactics and make them do their work.

They hardly work. Their main job is to collect and pass on all the grapevine information to the godfather. They are involved in all sorts of monkey business. Sometimes they are deliberately planted by a top boss in a particular department to know more about the ground realities or activities of some people. They behave like the eyes and ears of the top brass.

In this series, today’s new animal is “𝐏𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐍”

𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐏𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧” 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are a different class of passive-aggressive people. They are very smooth sweet talkers & sophisticated in their mannerisms. They show a lot of warmth and pleasing gestures towards their opponent in public, but internally in their hearts, they intensely hate and want to finish that person. You can’t judge them by their body language, what’ going on in their mind. They have a habit of passing sarcastic remarks in a lighter vein with a lot of puns.

They are very calculative & think two moves ahead like a chess player. They are not in a hurry and have a lot of patience. They work in a disguised & secretive manner. First, they try to win the trust of their opponents, and then they crush them. They backstab you, and you don’t even come to know about it.

In this series, today's new animal is “𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐎”.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨” 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are cool non-hostile people. They are open, over-excited, jumping all around people at work. Because of their friendly & fun-loving nature, they are well-connected in the organization. They are also an active member of various office groups & do get involved in group activities.

They are keen on office grapevines and corporate gossips going around. They are also the active spreader of this news to other colleagues. They barter information by giving one piece of information and try to get two pieces of information from others.

People come to them for inside stories, and they feel proud about this & their contacts. They love bitching and find it hard to keep information in their stomach.

At your workplace, everyone works with a mask on their face. If you unmask, you will find an animal in them, that’s why it is called “Corporate jungle”. To observe and know about the animals, one can either go to the zoo or to a jungle safari….

In the zoo, you are free, animals are in the cage whereas, in safari, animals are free, you are in a cage. Now it is up to you what you want a corporate zoo or a jungle safari at your workplace….

In this series, today’s new animal is “𝐅𝐎𝐗.”

𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐅𝐨𝐱” 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are passive-aggressive people. They are cunning and do a lot of planning. They work singlehandedly, in a secretive and disguised manner. They are hostile but don’t go for open confrontations; they are manipulative and try to use other people for their own benefit.

They instigate other people against their opponents. They get involved in backbiting, creating gossips and rumors. Mostly they try to harm by tarnishing their opponents’ image by the indirect verbal method.

If you can identify with someone like this in your peer group, label them as “Fox” in your corporate jungle.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐋𝐢𝐨𝐧” 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: They are aggressive and clever people. Strong leadership quality with “follow me” approach. Very demanding, focused, believe in open and direct communication. If they don’t like something, it is on their tongue, not very diplomatic. They are swift in their mind and action. If you in his/her good books, he/she will stand & fight for you.
