If you stay in one place your whole life, you'll never see other lands, other cultures, other ways of living. It's like only reading one page of a book. You learn something, but it's nothing compared to what you could be reading, or seeing.“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”.A book has many pages. When we have a book, we have a chance to read it. And we also have the right to choose how many pages we read. The world is analogous to a book. If you just stay in your comfort zone, all you know about the world is just like one page of the book, which is very little and limited. I think the word “travel” in this quote holds a generic meaning. It doesn't implicate visiting a new country or a strange area but learning about unique and fabulous cultures of different communities. It could also be stepping out of our comfort zone and plunging into challenging areas. So, I think by flipping pages or starting to do something new or accepting new challenge, I can read more in the book of the world.
