I am sure one and all who attended Stanlea-2013 will agree that it was a great success. I am thankful to our Dean, Dr.S.Geethalakshmi for giving me this opportunity to conduct such a mega event at Stanley. I am grateful to the major sponsors, Dhina Thanthi and the other sponsors, The Stanley Basketball team of the early/mid 80's, Seven Star Cricket Association, IOB, SPEED Coaching Centre. Dr.Annamalai Ragupathy, Correspondent of Karpaga Vinayagar Medical College sponsored the Transport during the event and the Metro Water and mineral water supplies during the sports meet was sponsored by Mr.Vetrivel, MLA of RK Nagar constituency.
Our Dean was also kind enough to release a major amount of 4 Lakhs for the successful conduct of the event.
My beloved students under the leadership of Sports Secretary, RSK and College Council President, Kishore Kumar did an excellent job. Thanks to Arun, Prasanth, Deepak, Akilan and all those who worked hard for the successful conduct of the meet.
The organising team and the volunteers worked tirelessly for the past one and half months or so to make this dream come true.
Barring a few stray incidents, the meet went on smoothly and inspite of the sapping heat, the boys and girls worked with enthusiasm and zeal.
I must also thank Dr.Darwin, Dr.Murali, Dr.Chandrasekar and Dr.Ramalingam for standing by my side and helping me in achieving this feat.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the meet with the true spirit of a sportsman.
Happily, Stanley Medical college won the Overall Championship due the hard efforts and training and excellent performance by the various teams and individuals.
Wish this could be an annual event.
Long live Stanley Spirit.
