The Office of the Director General Assam Rifles, Shillong, has released a notification for the recruitment of 69 Rifleman/ Riflewomen (General Duty) posts under the Meritorious Sportspersons Quota. The recruitment will be conducted through the Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally 2025, and interested candidates can apply online.

The vacancies are spread across several sports disciplines, including boxing, football, shooting, taekwondo, karate, sepaktakraw, fencing, badminton, pencak silat, and athletics. Both male and female candidates can apply, with specific posts reserved for each sport.

Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years of age and should have passed Matriculation from a recognised board. Sports qualifications include participation in recognised international or national-level tournaments, including Khelo India competitions. The application fee is ₹100 for UR/OBC candidates, while female, SC, and ST candidates are exempted from payment.

The online application process will remain open from 16 August 2025 to 15 September 2025 through the official Assam Rifles recruitment portal. Candidates need to register, fill in details, upload documents, pay the application fee (if applicable), and submit the form online.
