Banaras is where life and death sit beside each other without fear.
Where the Ganga teaches you to let go, the ghats teach you to pause, and the ancient silence teaches you to listen to what your heart has been trying to say.
It is chaos that somehow feels like peace.
It is endings that quietly make space for beginnings.
It is the fragrance of incense, the sound of temple bells, the glow of diyas on the river, and strangers who feel strangely familiar.
And perhaps that is what love feels like too —
not something that needs to be explained,
but something you simply understand when you arrive.
If I ever write home,
understand that I mean a little piece of Banaras. 🪔🌊
