What??? You want to play in the boys category? Play with the girls you will definitely win a trophy.

This is the comments and feedback we got when we decided to participate in the ICE Rapid Chess Tournament held on 6th March, in Dadar. Foregoing her chance to get the 1st prize trophy, Mysha threw caution to the winds and did not even once question her coach Melwin Mascarenhas when put her entry in the boys category and that too in the higher age category.

There were many instances where she was told you are on the wrong table, smug looks on the boys faces on seeing a girl opponent and looks of disbelief when she defeated them!!

Being just 10 years, she took part in the Under 13 boys tournament and came out with a splendid finish winning 5 out of 6 matches and bagging the 3rd place trophy.

More power and strength to you dear Mysha. Keep aiming higher and higher and don't let anyone get you down. ❤️❤️❤️

Hard work, patience, sincerity, discipline and a hunger for achievement... These are the qualities I have seen in you Mysha and I am so very proud and happy that you are my student. I have complete unwavering faith and confidence in your abilities and you proved me right by bagging this prestigious win in the MSSA Under 10 girls tournament. You surely are a force to reckon with and I hope to see you reach greater heights my child. Wishing you all the very best for the future.
