Well done to our 4 junior referees that did a fantastic job in Ferns COE yesterday, referring the Future Stars U10s blitz day.

The girls did a great job referring all the games and ensuring they went off without a hitch. A long day out under the glorious sunshine, these teen girls represented their club so well, we are very proud of them πŸ©·πŸ’š

Nine Clon Vols U10 girls travelled to the Centre of Excellence in Ferns today, where they played two excellent games against Ballygarret/RΓ©alta na Mara and Naomh Γ‰anna, Gorey.

The girls showcased fantastic teamwork, skill and determination throughout both matches, giving a great account of themselves on the day.

As an added bonus they received footballs, had the opportunity to meet Wexford County players and were thrilled to get their footballs signed by some of them.

A fantastic day filled with football, fun and memorable experiences for all involved. The future of Wexford girls' football is certainly bright! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Big shout out to our U16 girls, Niamh, Karolina, Kate & Annie, for referring on the day πŸ©·πŸ’š

And a massive thanks to Wexford LGFA for organising πŸ‘πŸ’œπŸ’›

A very big well done our U12 pink team on their performance tonight against Kilmore. Each and every girl gave it her all out on the pitch and it paid off.

The game got off a good start playing away from the low lying sun, we missed a few chances in the first quarter but were slightly ahead going into the break.

After a little team chat we were more on form with the passing and communication out on the pitch. Some great play down the wings, calling each other and giving support to one another was reflected on the scoreboard and resulted in us taking a strong lead going into half time.

The second half saw us defending more from Kilmore who not once gave up, but some fantastic passes into the forwards saw us finish strong in the end.

A well deserved win for the girls tonight, a very enjoyable game to watch and we are very very proud of them all πŸ©·πŸ’š

Well done & thanks to Kilmore for a great game πŸ‘

U12 Green Team Match Report

It didn’t go our way against St Mary's yesterday evening on the Marys pitch, but our girls battled hard from start to finish and never gave up.

Most importantly, they enjoyed the match, worked hard for each other, and showed great team spirit throughout. The coaches are very proud of every one of them. πŸ©·πŸ’š

Thanks to the Mary's for a great game πŸ‘

With both teams level in the table it was always likely to be a hard fought battle for our U14 Pink team who travelled to Camolin this evening.

St Pats started strong and kicked two early points before being reined in to leave the scores level at 2 points each half way through the the first half. A Leah Egan goal pushed us ahead before some serious pressure from the home team saw them score a quick 1-01 to regain control. St Pats then dug deep to turn the screw before half time, winning the individual battles and pouring forward to stretch the lead out to 4-06 to 1-02 at half time.

A dejected bunch of girls however regrouped at half time and flew out of the blocks in the second half. The backs started getting on top in all their battles and driven by Annie Mc in full back the half back line finally got to play on the front foot. Tireless running from Leah Gallagher in Midfield released the forwards to get some scores and scores they got; great goals from Kyra Potter and Layla O’Rourke pulled the gap back to just 1-01. A goal from St Pats seemed to finish the game with 5 minutes to go but the girls kept fighting and another goal from Kyra Murphy set up a grandstand finish.

Unfortunately however our girls had left themselves too much of a hill to climb and St Pats withstood their efforts for a final goal to take the win.

The game finished on a score line of 7-09 to 6-08 and the girls will be hoping to get a chance for revenge in a likely semi final meeting.

Well done to all & thanks to St Pats for hosting.
