The 2026 renewal of the O’Connor Julian Vets Cashel A2 Tri-Distance gets underway at Limerick Greyhound Stadium tonight and the €3,000-to-the-winner event, which has proved fiercely competitive in recent years, is expected to be no different this time around.

In total, there are four opening-round heats on offer, with the first leg of the competition staged over the 550-yard trip.

Bragging rights are at stake at Limerick Greyhound Stadium tonight as the opening night of the Intertrack Challenge between Limerick and Galway gets underway.

Night two will see Galway Greyhound Stadium enjoy home advantage next weekend, but Limerick play host to the opening leg tonight, with five races boasting increased prizemoney and points awarded based on finishing positions.

Kindly sponsored by the Limerick and Clare GOBA and the WGOBA, the initiative is sure to generate plenty of interest across both venues over the next couple of weeks.

Big contests on the track but a big contest in the commentary box too in Shelbourne Park tonight. Better known for their GAA skills, Diarmuid Connolly and Eoin Cadogan try their hand at race commentary in the Derby Commentator Challenge this Saturday for the Quarter Finals of the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby.

Our own Mal sends his good luck to them both from Limerick where we'll be watching eagerly tonight to see how they get on.
