A little bit about me 🙂

My name is Danielle, I'm 40 years young and I'm here to empower other women so that they feel stronger, healthier amd happier in their skin.

I have been enjoying exercise and fitness since 2019 and decided to qualify in Exercise and Fitness myself so that I could help other find the same joy in movement.
I've been teaching group fitness classes for the last 4 years.

Ive spent the last year learning and upskilling so that I can provide the best possible service to my clients.

I am now qualified Personal Trainer with additional certificaion in:
🔺️ Nutrition
🔺️ Training Menopausal and Peri-menopausal Women
🔺️ Training Pre and postnatal Women
🔺️ Foundation in Strength & Conditioning

As a mum of three I understand how difficult it can be to find a little bit of time for just me, and justify spending money on myself.

However, prioritising my health is an investment in their future as much as mine.
And exercise and balanced nutrition helps me cope better with the chaos at home and be a calmer, less shouty, mum 😀

We all want to feel well and happy, right?

There are many moving parts to overall wellness but lets just look at simplifying the physiological for now ☺️
Forget BMI, bathroom scales and diets for a moment and lets explore the basics.

Hydration - 🍶
Try to drink 2-3ltrs of water per day.
Drinking 500ml water a half hour before a meal can help you feel satiated quicker when you eat.

Movement/Exercise - 🤸‍♀️
This doesnt have to be limited to a gym floor or exercise class.
One easy way to increase movement is add 2,000 steps a day to your current daily average

Sleep - 😴
At the centre of it all....
Our sleep quality will have an impact on the other four pillars, in the same way as if we neglect, or overdo it, in any of the four pillars these will have an effect on the quality of our sleep.

Nutrition - 🌯
Food is fuel and nourishment, no one type should be demonised.

Mindfulness/Meditiation - 🧘‍♀️
Check in with how you're feeling.
This can be as simple as taking 5 mintutes to reflect at bedtime
What emotion are you feeling?
What, or who, has contributed to this feeling?
How do you feel, physically?

You can't beat a hot breakfast on a cold morning 🥶

And I love the combo of apple and cinnamon on those cold, crisp mornings.

Porridge is my go to for breakfast the majority of the time. Its quick, simple and easy to make.

I always add dessicated coconut and chia seeds for fibre.....this keeps me fuller for longer and fibre is proven to help maintain a healthy gut.

I also add whey protein because its an easy way to get protein into the meal.

The first day of the New Year is seen by many as the one to make all the positive changes for the year ahead.

We pick our new years resolutions, we set off on the 1st with an unstoppable "this time I'll succeed" mindset and we often lose momentum by the end of the month, or week, or a few days 🙂

We often try to make all the changes at once, but its easier to maintain a change, until it becomes a habit, by taking it just one step at a time.

Make a change, maintain it for a week or two, then add the next change when you feel you have the time to focus on building that change into another new habit.

Remember that you can make changes at anytime, it doesn't need to be the start of the year, or the month, or the week or even the day.

And if you try to make a change and find yourself slipping back intonyour original habit that ok!!!
Make a mental note on why you think you failed the first time around, adapt and try again.

Don't let fear of failure prevent you from trying.
