🍀 Summer Working Student Position 🍀

Opportunity to learn and help in a small and busy competition yard.

Mixture of event horses and connemara ponies. A yard very passionate about working with horses and can provide a lot of knowledge with regards to general horse care, yard management, grooming, competing and riding.
Work will involve tacking, grooming horses for shows, putting up jumps, cleaning tack and hacking for the right candidate.

Lessons will be provided on own horse/pony in return for help.

164cm 5yo Connemara × Thoroughbred Gelding.

Sire: Golden Master (Master Imp) who is a top Irish eventing sire with progeny competing up to CCI4*L
Dam: Class 1 Connemara mare by Coosheen Stormboy, sire of many top eventing and show jumping Connemaras.

Nimby has shown to both excel out eventing and on the hunting field.

3rd - Hillcrest El90t 31.5 dr
2nd - Killossery Combined training, finishing in the low 30s
Schooled up to 1.20.
He is extremely brave cross country and enjoys taking his rider around. He does not spook and easily covers the ground.
Last winter he has proven to be extremely brave and Clever out hunting while being calm and manageable.
He jumps cleanly, giving leads to other animals. We received many compliments on his carefulness and scope over fences and ditches.
He is very good on roads, around machines and easy to hack out.
No vices, health issues, lumps or bumps.
Good to shoe, box, clip. He has a lovely gentle temperament.

5yo 167cm Talented Event Horse & Showjumper

Sire Carrick Quidam de Revel out of a Clover Brigade mare (65% blood).

Listoke Clover is a talented young sport horse with the ability and attitude to go up the levels in both Eventing and Showjumping.

He has evented successfully up to EI100 and will be ready to move up to EI110 next season. This is a horse who is very brave cross country. He does not take a pull and has endless scope to take on bigger tracks.

A horse with a serious jump, he rarely has a pole down showjumping. He has made the move up to 1.10s SJI with ease, jumping double clear at the Cavan 3 Day Show. He is very easy to set up to a fence and is forgiving if the rider makes a mistake.

He has received low 30s dressage marks in Eventing and has started to do some winter Dressage Ireland Training. He was 2nd in his Prelim category at Coilog receiving 68% and 66% in the Novice. He has been trained up to elementary level in dressage, with leg yields, shoulder in, counter canter, rein-back and turn on the forehand.

Listoke Clover has been very easy and level headed to train in all 3 phases. He does not get stressed at home or competing. He has a very calm temperament for a horse with such power, scope and movement.

I believe that Clover should be aimed for Le Lion 6 & 7yos. He has been given a great foundation as a young horse and is ready to go on and compete at the higher levels in Eventing and Showjumping.

Not only would be Clover be suitable a professional rider to go up the levels but also he would be straightforward enough for an Ambitious Young Rider/ Junior Rider / Amatuer to win on.

Clover is very easy on the ground, quiet to shoe, box and clip.

He was bought as a 3yo with a clean vet cert and x rays.
