Run With Dunne…
There’s nothing to beat the feeling of the anticipation and excitement on the evening before a sporting occasion.

While online registration is now closed you may still take part in any of the events scheduled for tomorrow by turning up at Tess Burke’s, Main St. Borrisokane (e45ve06) from 10am.

Two fabulous experiences in the last week that really need to be shared: On Wednesday of last week Portumna Tennis Club hosted a wonderful social evening, complete with BBQ with the proceeds donated to the Team Cillian fund. Yesterday evening (Wed. 28th) Lower Ormond Cycling Club dropped by Kilbarron as part of their midweek spin to also make a donation to the campaign. With all the negativity we see online these days it really is worth pausing for a moment to acknowledge these fabulous gestures. Sport at its very best. All of us invloved in the Team Cillian project wish to express our sincere thanks to both of these clubs, it is difficult to fully express our gratitude for your kind and considerate donations, it means so much.

What a fabulous gesture from Portumna Tennis Club to organise this event on Wednesday evening next...

PLTC are hosting a Tennis fundraiser next Wednesday 21st June from 7.30 pm to support the Team Cillian Fund. Sponsorships and donations are open via the events section on https://itsplainsailing.com/org/portumnalawntennis.

The event is open to non-members/walk-ins who might like to help out with this great cause. There will also be a BBQ and raffle on the evening, with really nice weather promised!

Cillian leading the truck and tractor run out of Kilbarron on one of the most perfect days on Sunday last. Sincere thanks once again to everyone who contributed to making the whole event such an amazing success. In relation to the Gofundme page, it remains open as a number of donations are still coming in but we will close this account on Sunday night next at 10pm.

Yesterday was a wonderful example of many communities coming together to support one of its own. We didn’t just have the local community but we also had the support of the farming, business and haulage communities to name but a few. Many thanks to one and all.
