The Sligo Masters & Open Water Swim Club (SMOWC) was established by a group of like minded individuals who enjoy all aspects of swimming. From the rugged landscapes of the Open Water to the charged atmosphere of competition, we have members who enjoy it all. From fitness and social enthusiast to high level competitor, Sligo Masters Swim club caters for evryone. The club is open to any persons over

the age of 19yrs (Adults only) who is capable of swimming a minimum of 200m non stop.. SMOWC is an ‘Equal Opportunities Club’.

SMOWC facilitates both Pool and Open Water Swimming as well as competitive and non-competitive members. There are regular coached pool sessions as well as open water sessions throughout the year (yes, including the winter). We enter teams into the regular winter Masters ‘Swim galas’ which take place around the country.
