We’re excited to announce the Clare Junior Golf Boys’ & Girls’ Open County Parkland Championship at East Clare Golf Club!

The junior season is truly up and running and with the weather improving and post primary schools finished next Friday the opportunity to get out and play junior golf is never better.
Well done to Dromoland Ennis and East Clare as they continue there journeys in Fred Daly and Junior Foursomes.

The second Major amateur championship of 2026 for men, the Leinster Open Championship, gets underway today at Seapoint Golf Club, Co. Louth. There are three golfers from Clare taking part: Johnathan Keane and Danny Lyne from Lahinch, and Eoin Magill from East Clare. Best wishes lads from all in Clare.

Claregolf is delighted to announce that the East Clare Golf Club junior committee will stage a Wee Wonders Regional Qualifier on June 13th 2026.

This event is played on shortened tees and simplified rules, meaning every child, ages 5 to 12, will play a course that perfectly matches their skills. Play well and have fun, everyone.

As the junior Officer at East Clare, it was fantastic to hear yesterday that Golf Ireland is introducing four new national ladies' championships this year, similar to the men's national championship series. The exciting news is that the South of Ireland leg of this new championship series will be held at Lahinch. This is a fantastic commitment from the club and its members and will undoubtedly be a positive development for all young female golfers, whether they are seasoned players or just starting out. This also creates a unique opportunity in the future for one Clare golfer to make history by becoming the first local girl or lady to win what is sure to be a wonderful championship.
Wishing great success to everyone involved in this new Championship series.
