Introducing Neart Comhtháite - Reformer & Mat, a class designed to help you connect your movement and deepen your practice.

Move seamlessly between reformer and mat as you explore how the Pilates method fits together. Discover how exercises build upon one another, how movement patterns translate across apparatus and matwork, and how each exercise prepares you for the next.

From understanding how Roll Up lays the foundation for Teaser to experiencing how familiar exercises feel different on the reformer and the mat, you’ll begin to see the connections that make the Pilates method so effective.

By strengthening the connection between reformer and mat, you’ll develop the confidence, control and body awareness that supports progression throughout the Pilates method.

We’re stronger together.

Neart (strength) is at the heart of what we do in studio, and this May we want to bring that to life by coming together for a great cause.

We’re hosting The May Mat Series, four free Pilates classes at the studio, and all we’re asking is that you donate whatever you can to Pieta House.

All classes in this series are mixed level, you’ll be guided through the foundational movements of the Classical Pilates Matwork sequence layering to a dynamic sequence designed to improve strength, control, mobility, and overall body awareness. Options and modifications are offered throughout, so you can work at a level that feels right for you.

📍 Monday 18th May @ 7am Sunrise Session

What does the research suggest?

Here’s a brief look at the research.

Studies of prenatal Pilates suggest it may support physical and psychological wellbeing during pregnancy.

Overall, studies suggest that prenatal Pilates may be associated with:

• lowered reported low back and pelvic pain scores
• improved comfort and ability in daily activities
• reduced anxiety and fear of childbirth related outcomes in some studies

These findings come from supervised, adapted exercise programmes and pregnancy focused research. Evidence is still emerging, and many studies involve relatively small sample sizes.

Always consult your GP or midwife before starting or continuing exercise during pregnancy.

• Is qualified to teach Reformer, with additional Mat training preferred.
• Is interested in a structured, employed teaching role.
