Our U13 Boys are back training and we’d love to add a few more players to the group for the season ahead. If your child is finishing up with GAA, this is a great time to give rugby a go. Training is Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm, with matches on Sundays.

Rugby is a great complement to other sports, helping young players develop strength, resilience, confidence, teamwork and respect while enjoying being part of a team.

No previous rugby experience is needed and players of all abilities are welcome.

Club President Mark Kelly is looking for people who would like to play a part in helping Roscrea RFC grow, particularly through our fundraising committee and the ideas that can support the club in the years ahead.

With Minis Rugby returning this Sunday, it is the perfect chance for parents and supporters to get a little more involved in club life.

You do not need to commit huge amounts of time or take on a major role. Helping with an event, lending a hand with fundraising, bringing a new idea to the table or simply giving a few hours when you can can all make a real difference.

If you are at the club on Sunday, just ask any club member how you can get involved and we will point you in the right direction.

The more people involved, the more we can do for our players, teams and wider club community.

MINIS & YOUTH RUGBY IS BACK!
From tonight, our Minis and Youth teams begin returning to training for the new season, and new players are always welcome.

Whether your child has played before or has never picked up a rugby ball, find their age group in the slides and bring them along to a session. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome, with teams right through from Minis to Youth rugby, as well as our free Jedi Rugby programme for children with additional needs.

There is no pressure or commitment. Come down, meet the coaches, join in and give rugby a go.

We’re especially looking forward to seeing Streamstown full of kids, families and fun again on Sunday mornings as our Minis return at 10.30am. 🏉

Roscrea RFC is delighted to announce Ziggy Duma as the new Head Coach of our Senior Women’s team for the coming season.

Ziggy steps into the role having already made a big contribution to the club, including leading our U18 Boys through a hugely successful season.

He now takes charge of a Senior Women’s side heading into an exciting new chapter following promotion last season.

And if you’ve ever thought about giving rugby a go, this is a great time to get involved.

Whether you’ve played before, are returning after time away, or have never picked up a rugby ball, new players are always welcome.

Mark is honoured to take on the role of President of Roscrea RFC and is looking forward to helping the club continue to grow both on and off the pitch.

As the new season begins, we’d love more people to get involved. You don’t need rugby experience - whether you can help with coaching, fundraising, events, administration or simply lend a hand, we’d be delighted to hear from you. This is your club, and every contribution makes a difference.
