🚨 EXCITING NEWS! 🚨

Our contractor, Kesel Construction Ltd, has officially started work on site! 🏗️🎉

This is a massive milestone for our project, and we couldn’t be more excited to see things finally getting underway.

🔹 First up, the team will complete the access road to the Sports Park.
🔹 Next, they’ll be digging the ducts for the electricity lines.
🔹 Then it’s on to the groundworks and drainage.

It’s a fantastic start - but there’s still plenty of work to be done, especially when it comes to fundraising. 💪

The incredible support from our community, local businesses, and everyone who bought a ticket for our Lidan Garden Room & Mark Lohan Kitchen Draw has helped us get to this point. We honestly can’t thank you enough. ❤️

Roscommon Community Athletics Track has been years in the making. Countless volunteers have given their time, energy, and dedication to bring us to this pivotal moment - and now, we are finally moving forward to turn this long-held dream into a reality.

Our new 8 lane 400 metre community track, together with a full sized community soccer pitch, will be developed at Lisnamult Community Sports Park, in the heart of Roscommon Town. A facility for the entire community, all ages, all abilities, schools, clubs and organisations.

We are asking for your support to help get this exciting initiative ‘over the line’.

Excited to see the progress being made. This access road will allow phase 1 works to commence soon on the track, which will occupy the area to the left of the road.

Our new access road to the track site is almost complete thanks to Roscommon County Council for getting this done so quickly.

We should see further progress in the coming days, bringing us closer to making Roscommon Community Athletics Track a reality.

We may have been quiet online lately, but rest assured - there’s been plenty of work happening behind the scenes!

We were delighted to recently see diggers from Roscommon County Council on site working on the new road leading into the Sports Park - another exciting step towards turning the dream into reality.

As shown in the photo, the track will be located to the left of this new road. Progress is happening, and we’re looking forward to sharing more updates as the project continues!
