Vision Sports Ireland is delighted to announce the official launch of our new Vision Impaired Athletics Guide and Educational Video, developed in partnership with Athletics Ireland!
The launch was supported by Minister of State with responsibility for Sport and Postal Policy, Charlie McConalogue TD, and three-time Irish Paralympian Greta Streimikyte

Developed in collaboration with experienced coaches from the Laois VIP Hub, these resources aim to equip coaches, clubs and volunteers with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to make athletics more accessible and inclusive for athletes who are blind or vision impaired.

From effective communication and guiding techniques to adapting coaching practices across running, jumping and throwing events, the resources demonstrate how simple adaptations can make a meaningful difference.

The Hub was delighted to attend the Para Ireland strategic launch at sport Ireland 🇮🇪

Today, we launched the next chapter for Paralympics Ireland.

At the Sport Ireland Campus, we officially launched our new ten year strategy, setting out our ambition to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport, support Irish athletes to deliver world class performances and use the power of Para sport to help build a more inclusive Ireland.

The launch formed part of a joint Sports Forum with Sport Ireland, bringing together athletes, National Governing Bodies, Government, partners and representatives from across Irish sport.

A huge thank you to Minister Charlie McConalogue for joining us today and the team at Sport Ireland for hosting the Sports Forum alongside us, and to everyone who joined us for such an important day for Para sport in Ireland.

Now the work begins.
