My name is Robyn Fitzsimons, the girl behind Fat Avocado. I am an Irish based fitness instructor, health and fitness blogger, yoga teacher and personal trainer. I graduated in 2013 from the National Training Centre with my diploma in personal training and health and fitness qualification. The Fat Avocado arose from my fitness background and interest in nutrition and fitness. I set up The Fat Avoca
do blog in February 2016, in the hopes of using it as a platform to show people that exercise is an necessity in ones life for both physical and mental well being. Eating healthy and exercise, can be enjoyable, uncomplicated and easy to incorporate into a busy lifestyle. In my recipes, and in my own dietary lifestyle, I try to use the most natural, unrefined and unprocessed wholefood ingredients. I want to encourage and influence others to live a full, and happy life by banishing food shaming and eating to be happy as well as healthy. Whole foods not only nourish your body physically, but emotionally and mentally. Over the past 4 years I have worked as a personal trainer and group instructor and the past 2 years I have held the position of ‘Head Trainer’ for a company called Pure Results Bootcamp, founded by RTE'S Kathryn Thomas. The camp is Ireland's premier health and fitness bootcamp. I have run a number of group weight loss programmes, training workshops, and social events, sharing my passion and knowledge for health and fitness. I have had a number of publications in magazines and newspapers including; RSVP, The Sunday Independent, and The Irish Mirror. I hope you enjoy reading my blog, trying out my recipes and using my training programmes!
