Congratulations to Billy Cruise and his team, Martin Conway and Mehmet Sungar who took charge of the inaugural Christy Kavanagh Charity Shield match between Duleek AFC and Johnstown Football Club in the MDL Grounds last night.

A fantastic game to open the North East Football League season which will now take place on an annual basis between the NEFL Premier Division champions and the NEFL Challenge Cup champions.

All the proceeds taken at the gate are been donated to The Irish Heart Foundation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Muller’s family and friends. He will be a massive loss to the MDL Grounds. He always had a smile on his face and very helpful to every referee when they officiated games in the MDL.

Well done to Simon MacMahon and his team, Peter Burns Jnr and Pat Henry who took charge of the North East Football League Gerry Reilly Memorial Cup Final last night in the MDL Grounds Navan, between Aston Celtic and Longwood AFC.

The weather wasn’t the best but it didn’t dampen the lads spirts. 🌧️ ☔️
