Whether you can judge a ewe or grade a finishing animal, or if you don't think you can do either, this is the competition for you. Come along and give it a go!

Panel Discussion/ Farm walk
The stock judging will be followed by a Panel Discussion from 1pm.
This is OPEN TO ALL to come along and listen to an interesting panel discussion including industry professionals where they share tips and talk about the herd.
Speaking of the herd it is made up of a commercial herd and Pedigree Limousin stock, who go by the Curracaher Prefix 🤩

A fantastic night of was had last night as members from every club across the region came together to enjoy a night out in Killarney 🤩

It would not have been possible without all the work our Regional Social Officers put into the organising of the evening and accomodation 👏🏼

The very best of luck to Freemount Macra member and previous Chairperson of the Avondhu Region Caroline O’Connell as she represents us this weekend! 👸🏼

There’s lots of activities planned this weekend visit Queen of the Castle Festival to see all of the activities planned, both for Queens and supports 🥂

Caroline will have her Queens on Stage interview on Saturday night and the Coronation of the 2026 QOTC will take place on Sunday night 👑
So make sure you pop up to Cahir for a weekend of fun and excitement!

🏆Regional Awards Night 🏆

As the Macra Year draws to a close we recognised all of the successes achieved throughout the region this year at our regional awards night 🤩

Clubs, teams and individuals displayed many talents and skills this past year in a wide range of competitions. From drama, public speaking, stock judging, personality contests, farm skills to every kind of sport you can think of we had it all 🙌

Congratulations to all winners and a big well done to all who continued onto national rounds where a number of national titles and placings were brought back to the Avondhu Region 🤩

A big well done must be extended to all participants and clubs for entering competitions and keeping the competition fierce throughout the year 😎

A big thank you must go out to our officers and organisers who worked tirelessly to organise all of the competitions throughout the year 👏

Many thanks to our social officers John and Doireann for organising a great night to recognise the successes 👏

Looking forward to another great year ahead be it on stage, on the pitch or in a pen judging cattle 😂

A great evening of skills were displayed last night at our regional round of Farm Skills which was held in Springwood Farm.
Three teams were put through their paces in teamwork, driving and fencing skills 🔨

A very well done to all three teams who took part and congratulations to who won on the night 🏆

☀️Regional Poc Fada & Awards Night ☀️

The regional round of Poc Fada will take place this Friday the 6th of June in Mallow Town Park ⚾️
Time to get your Hurleys out and pull like a dog to be in with a chance of being crowned the winner on the night! Entries to sports officers Lucy or Stephan before Wednesday.

As if that wasn’t fun enough the Annual Regional Awards Night and Social night will take place after at 8pm in the Bridge House Bar 🥂
As always there’s so much to celebrate and successes to acknowledge throughout the region so all welcome to come along and enjoy the night of chat and craic 🤩
