U12s League
Drumbar 1 Lagan Harps 0

Drumbar came out on top in a really hard fought game. We started well with Katherine Weston and Ava Crockett doing well down the wings, but we just couldn’t put away our shots or crosses. Drumbar began to threaten as the half wore on and if became end to end. We lost Katie Gildea to injury and had to reshuffle the team. Thesecond half was the same before Drumbar made hhd breakthrough on forty minutes. Ella Dorrian broke down the field. Although we got a tackle in the ball broke back to her and she found the net. The game continued in the same vein with Juliet Yeats battling hard in midfield for Drumbar. Caoimhe Sweeney was working hard pushing the team forward but the Drumbar defence was solid. Our back three of Demi Doran, Mia Doherty and Annabelle Mc Carron also did well. Katie Gildea came back on as we pushed hard for the equaliser, she had a couple of shots but Mawande Kyle Mhlanga dealt with them. Caoimhe had a shot just wide and Drumbar went close when a corner deflected off one of our defenders and went just over. We went close in the final minutes with Katie Gildea and Katherine Weston shooting narrowly wide. We now face Gweedore Utd in the Trophy final in Ballyare. It is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, but may be subject to change.
It wasn't the girls night but they gave everything the had in what was a great battle between two well matched sides.

Womens Senior League
Lagan Harps 2 Bonagee Utd 2
The points were shared in the local derby played in cold conditions. Bonagee took the lead on seven minutes when Susannah Carr knocked home a cross from the right. Bonagee had the better of the half without either team creating chances. Defences were on top with Amy Boyd and Jodie Rodgers solid down the middle for Lagan and Mia Devenney having a great game. Bonagee were equally solid with Bridgeen Devenney, Kate Gillespie and Shannon Sibbald doing well. Rebecca Mc Ginley came out of goal in the second half and livened up the Lagan attack. We equalised after a good move down the right with Lauryn Harkin knocking in Rebecca's cross. The game became a real midfield battle with Nadine Crawford and Catherine Grier pushing on their teams. Catherine put Bonagee 2-1 ahead with a shot from distance. Natalie Mc Fadden then had a shot graze the top of the Lagan bar. We then equalised when Rebecca Mc Ginley scored with a great shot from wide. Bonagee almost won it in the final minutes when Ellen Temple hit a shot from the edge of the area but Chelsea Dowds pulled off a brilliant save to deflect it over the bar. In the end a draw was a fair result.

Squad: Rebecca Mc Ginley, Gemma Coyle, Mia Devenney, Amy Boyd, Jodie Rodgers, Nadine Crawford, Chelsea Dowds, Teaghan Doherty, Amy Lateef, Lauryn Harkin, Lily Rose Doherty, Leah Gallagher, Siobhan Curran.

U14 Girls
Lagan Harps 0 Keadue Rovers 1

Keadue came away with the points after a really hard fought game. Playing with the breeze in the first half, Keadue put us under a lot of pressure. They took the lead on nine minutes when Lauren Doogan found Fia Ham and she finished well. They continued to press and Ella Sharkey pulled off a number of good saves. Matilda Mc Garvey caused us a lot of problems but our defence with Emily Mc Mahon and Amanda Caldwell strong in the middle held firm. We tried to push forward but found it hard to get through a strong physical Keadue side. The second half was a really tight battle. We began to get more in to it with Catherine Caldwell and Clodagh Kavanagh getting more possession in midfield and Ell Hamlyn getting off some good passes. Aoife Foy was our main attacking threat with some strong runs down the wing. Katie Gildea also got in a few good crosses but Keadue were solid. Danielle Mc Namee did well to create some space in hhe box but just got closed down. Fia Ham continued to be a threat with Amanda Caldwell doing well to contain her. Caoimhe Sweeney had a great run down the wing in the second half but just got blocked off. Kelsie Mc Menamin got in some good clearances when Keadue threatened. Both teams battled hard without creating any clear chances. We lost the game in the end but the whole team deserve great credit for battling hard for us through a really tough game.

Squad: Ella Sharkey, Kelsie Mc Menamin, Katie Gildea, Caoimhe Sweeney, Kelsie Mc Menamin, Amanda Caldwell, Emily Mc Mahon Catherine Caldwell Aoife Foy, Ella Hamlyn, Danielle Mc Namee, Katherine Weston, Annabelle Mc Carron, Demi Doran.
