📢 We are inviting our current psychology undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at UL to come to our annual staff & student welcome event.

📅 The event is taking place on Monday 28th September from 12:00pm - 1:30pm.

❓ This event provides an opportunity for staff and students to meet informally and get to know each other without the pressure of time schedules and the daily rush.

🎤 On the day, you will hear from our HoD Dr Jennifer McMahon as well as other faculty staff about our current programmes and our research. We will also have two past psychology students who will talk about where their psychology degree took them.

There are over 120 women's sheds dotted around the country providing a space where women of all ages and backgrounds meet regularly to share skills, learn from experts, do creative activities or simply have a cup of tea and a chat.

On the RTÉ Brainstorm podcast, UL's Dr Megan Vine spoke to Ronan Kelly about her research on women's sheds and the importance of these spaces for social connection and well-being.

UL Psychology has been building expertise in innovative methods for exploring social systems with networks and computational social science. The attached image of issue coordination among political party supporters in the US is an example that got lots of attention.
