Lough Swilly SAC

Lough Swilly SAC Local fishing club keeping you up to date on our outtings and activities. Lough Swilly is a fjiord in the northermost tip of Ireland. We are a competition club.

It is one of Ireland three fjiords after Carlingford Lough and Killary harbour. Here we have some of the best fishing in central europe. The amount of species capable of being caught is unprecedented anywhere else in Europe. We go after species meaning our tackle is fine and light as opposed to normal deep sea fishing where the tackle can tow a car. Our members are veterans of species hunting mean

ing we have several adult and junion members on the national team. Something they have to qualify for and we are immensely proud of. If you want to learn about tournament fishing and you are in travelling range of Donegal/ Letterkenny/ Rathmullen then we would be a very good club to join. We do not just go out of Rathmullen. We also charter out of Kincasslagh, Burtonport, killybegs, Carndonagh, Dowlings etc. Joining our club will get you out from many areas. All deep sea and you will catch a fish each cast. Remember its about species. Not about the biggest fish. Come join us.
