Kilmacthomas Day Care Social Centre Kilmacthomas Day Care Social Centre successfully running since June 1998, is based in the heart of Kilmacthomas, at the base of the Comeragh Mountains.

Based at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains the Day Care centre is located in the Heart of the Village of Kilmacthomas and host the most spectacular scenery. It has been successfully running since its official opening in June 1998. It is open every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10am to 3.30pm and runs a wide range of activities (Bingo, crafts and special events in the summer and Christmas). W

ith its warm, cosy and friendly atmosphere it's a fantastic way to socialise. Serving Mid-morning Tea/coffee, 3 course Lunch, and afternoon tea it is amazing value for only €6.00 per day. There is no age limit and Buses are available daily and all included in the price. Other services available at no extra cost include; chiropody & the winter vaccine. How devastating it was to find hundreds of euros worth of damage done to our wonderful Day Centre on Monday morning last. A facility which caters for our family members..our grandparents use this fantastic amenity. Stones are been thrown up onto the slates breaking them once more after we spending a lot of money repairing them some months back....stones littered the walkway at the back of the facility which stopped daily walks on Monday until it was cleared...facia & soffit in bits and now leaking and broken beer bottles littered the area.... Gardai are now informed and we would like thank the local residents who came forward with information and who will now watch the area on roster basis so we can catch those responsible
